Little Things Mean A Lot....

Sometimes it’s the small things that put a smile on your heart. I have been so fortunate to meet the sweetest ladies through my website. Beautiful women whom I've never met, but who share bits and pieces of their lives with me. Often, when I work with ladies one-on-one to create custom jewelry, the emails will fly back and forth with the pertinent details and you can’t help but get a sense of the loveliness on the other side of the computer server.

Recently I had the pleasure of “meeting” one such lovely customer – Cathy Nesbitt-Stein who owns a charming dance studio in Canton, OH ~ Candy Apples Dance Center ~ and through our emails, I discovered we shared a passion for all things Victorian and of Cathy’s passion for providing her young students not only dance lessons but also with lessons on confidence & poise that will last them into their adult years. In addition to being a business owner, Cathy is a busy wife and mother to a sweet little girl adopted from Guatemala. Cathy’s kind heart just oozed across the computer screen.

Cathy loves Easter…bunnies in particular…and requested the creation of the bracelet shown above. And I meet fabulous women every week in this same manner. And although some say the Internet is too “impersonal”, I have found the opposite to be true. Through my little business here in my corner of the web, my heart sings almost daily with the simple joys found in these connections. My wish is that these simple things make your heart sing too and bring joy into your day on a regular basis.

Making Someone's Day

I recently received a “You Make My Day Award” from Shana Dreher at Crossroads Cottage. I was completely thrilled and excited to have received this honor. Shana is a lovely customer who had purchased some of my jewelry several months ago for her mothers birthday. Shana said that months later, her mom, who loves all things romantic, was still talking about her jewelry and how many compliments she receives when she wears her pieces. I was delighted to hear how happy they were with my jewelry. Thank you so much for this honor Shana! I promise to pay this forward to another artist who “Makes My Day”.

And just so everyone knows…you MUST visit Shana’s beautiful website and blog. Her shop has all things needed for Fabulous Festivities and you must see her Decadent Décor section too. Her background in Special Events Planning really shows through with her featured “Tablescapes” section.

Visit Shana to make a new friend and purchase some wonderful party décor for your next soiree!

xoxo ~ Joy
