Comfy Cozy Time….

….whew…..the big rush is over….its been a creative snowstorm or maybe I should say blizzard this year in the studio. Thank you to everyone who came by to place orders for the holiday season. I so enjoyed creating all your special sparklies and I truly appreciate your business (and for many of you, your friendship too)

It’s time for me to relax and catch up with holiday excitement with family and friends and I will be taking a little time off. I plan to be back in the studio on January 3rd, recharged and filled with creative inspiration for the new year.

Speaking of stockings…I am loving this sweet knitted stocking I found at Target. It was only $10 and I got it on sale for 50% off that! It was very plain in the store…

….but once home with it, I pulled out my sewing kit and added a length of vintage French crochet and lace trim around the edges and then embellished the side with a pretty rhinestone and fabric flower. I think it adds a sweet romantic touch for holiday decorating and I have this in my studio.

Fourteen tiny portraits of our favorite Queen hand cut and layered over an image of the circa 1795 official French revolutionary inventory list of her jewelry, and loaded with sparkling crystals and pearls! Fit for any modern day Queen to add to her jewelry collection.

All created with pieces of vintage china and some bracelets even have soldered charms created with snippets of vintage French lace collected directly from the Brocantes in Paris!

Decking The Halls…

….literally! Christmas decorations are popping up all through the house and this year, I’ve added a hallway tree. It’s a cute little vintage silver aluminum tabletop tree and I positioned it in front of an old window frame that came out of the back of our 1924 bungalow home.

I have wanted a vintage silver tree for some time now, but they can be sooo pricey. My sister and I found this one last spring at an antique shop for just $20…needless to say, I snatched this sweetie up FAST!

I decided to decorate it with mostly vintage glass ornaments, a few new Christopher Radko glass ornaments and my most favorite…. little glass clip on birds…… I have red birds…

…and white birds

I am really enjoying how the bright colors of the old glass ornaments stand out against the silver metal of the tree. It’s so sparkly and bright and makes me smile every time I pass by.
